Shane Balkowitsch, "Shadow Catcher," has used his passion for a very old photographic method, wet-plate photography, to create art and to document life today. What I appreciate in his work is the respect for his subjects that emanates from each plate. His "sitters," as he calls them, come from all walks of life.
